Christmas cookies! My all time, myst-have cookies are Russian Teacakes from my childhood! I remember shelling, pitting, and finely chopping walnuts for my mom to make these in the 50s when I was a little girl. I switched to making them with pecans in the 70s. Yum!

Christmas Eve breakfast starts two days of happy foods: cheese omelette with freshly baked cinnamon raisin bread! Texture and taste are spot on. Next goal is to replicate in GF version!! #homebaker #holidays

My favorite time of year - and my favorite time to bake. Today was productive- fed my sourdough starter, bake a cinnon raisin loaf, peppermint topped brownies, and made two cookie doughs to chill overnight. And got some presents wrapped!

Have yet to find outstanding baklava here in the City by tge Bay. My sister was married to a Persian in the 70s - she learned to make great baklava and it became my standard. I found her loosely written recipe card last week. I tweaked it after little research. Can’t wait for it to fully cool!

I’ve been baking pumpkin breads during the holday since I was a newlywed 67 years ago. Love to bake iced cranberry almond nut bread too - baking mini loaves is perfect to gift or freeze! Sh! Now I bake them gluten free! Love #holidaybaking #glutenfree #Thanksgiving

I have been searching! Finally found a delicious gluten-free bread with a great crumb - right in my own kitchen! After trying gf breads from bakery after bakery and recipe after recipe, I finally found the one! I’ll be baking my own regularly now.

Beautiful iris from my grandma’s garden in the 80s. We’ve passed bulbs on among her grandchildren and they now bloom in 3 states far from where she started her garden on a chicken ranch in the 60s. #iris #grandma #gardening
