Hi Chalkbeat! Did you know that as of last week only 33% of NYC's 18-year-olds were registered to vote? State law allows for preregistration at 16, so we'd love to see the next mayor and schools chancellor work to ensure every student is registered BEFORE they graduate HS! data.thecivicscenter.org

Also notable: the huge voter registration gap between 18yos and older voters, which we study. Teens can close this gap by running drives in their high schools. We show them (and their teachers) how for free!
