The country is being torn apart by sectarian violence now. And it's only going to keep increasing until it is stopped. Waiting till it reaches a supposedly critical point will be too late.

If you think that's how it works, you will be disappointed. Your best chance of doing something effective is now. The longer it goes on the more difficult it will be to stop. By the time you get to the thousands of deaths, disappearances and imprisonments, it will be too late.
