I love himbbbbb

YouTube has been pushing an ad on me a lot recently. It is for a Manly Man’s Hoodie for Red Bloodied Manly American Men. The ad literally talks about how it’s a great hoodie for ‘conquering new lands’..? I don’t know what makes them think that I am the target audience for this product.

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Snowpiercer, but looking at some visuals or stills from the show (world based more so than character based) might give you some jumping off points for ideas?

I think this is why trending media never really works on me and why I never watch whatever the popular thing is. It always just feels like a large portion of people telling me ‘consume this and like it’ and it makes me dig my heels in even harder. Im not going to like it if you tell me I have to?

I got a pack of assorted stickers from a local charity shop. There were some princess stickers, and the skirt shapes on their dresses reminded me of jellyfish bells. Which lead to sketching dresses. And then I put Mikolai in them! WIPs of the series are up on ko-fi!

For his aesthetic, I wanted to go for something 1920's adjacent to match @lovablehyena.bsky.social 's character, but I chose to lean into an art deco aesthetic with the patterns and colours. His design was heavily influenced by Mutal's concept art for him, which helped me visualise him a whole lot.
