Love the depth of the Mavs this season. In Saturday's win vs LA Clippers they had their second game this season w/ 8 players in dbl-figures.

This season the Mavs have 14 games w/ at least 6 players scoring 10+ pts...tied for 4th in the NBA.

They're 13-1 in those 14 games.

Along w/ late last season this is one of the best Mavs stretches since 2011. 12+ game spans w/ only 1 loss are:

12-1 (3/17 to 4/10/2024)
11-1 (3/7 to 3/31/2024)

Current 7 game win streak = longest post 2011.

2/5 - 2/22/24
12/21/22 - 1/2/23

Luka Dončić was named Western Conference Player of the Week. In 3 Mavs wins last week, Luka had the ppg, rpg and apg averages noted below. Also 10 steals in 3 games, hit 14/32 on 3s (43.8%) and posted two triple-doubles. He's won West PotW 14 times since 2019-20, most of any player in that span.

Kyrie, Klay Thompson and Dereck Lively II are back and starting for the Mavs tonight. Klay has missed the last 4 (L foot plantar fascia). Luka and PJ Washington Jr. complete the starting group. We're underway now on WFAA/KFAA and MavsTV with tonight's game vs Memphis. Final NBA Cup group stage game.

IT'S OFFICIAL

Democrat Adam Gray has FLIPPED CA-13 from red to blue, winning by just 187 votes. The House of Representatives will be 217 R - 215 D due to Trump plucking congresspeople for his cabinet. That composition will ultimately land at 220 R - 215 D (could be even lower).

PJ Washington Jr got a bit overshadowed in all of the other stories from last night.

He put em ahead for good on a corner 3 w/ 54.5 left.

Good D late on Jerami Grant.

5 game dbl-dbl streak ended but 14 pts, 3 rebs & 6 assts still vital.

Hit 6 of last 8 corner 3s & 11/19 on 3s overall in last 5.

Mavs win for the 8th time in the last 9 games! Luka's return very well-timed as they need his 36 pts, 13 assts and 7 rebs to win in Portland 137-131. They survive an incredible heater by Anfernee Simons in the 3Q (24 pts) and Portland making 12 of their first 14 FGs in the 4th!

Top 3 scoring games for Quentin Grimes in his career:

36 - 4/5/23 at IND
33 - 12/27/22 at DAL
28 - Sunday at Portland

Also has his first career run of 3 straight games of 20+ with 21 vs NY, 24 at Utah & 28 at POR.

A career high 5 steals in Sunday's Mavs win at Portland too!

In these last two wins, the Mavs have their first ever instance of back to back games of 4 players with 20+ points.

at Atlanta - (Kyrie 32, Hardy 23, Naji 22, Dinwiddie 22)

vs New York - (Naji 24, Kyrie 23, Dinwiddie 21, Grimes 21)

It did happen twice in a three game span in January 1996.

Assessing the Mavs competition for the Emirates NBA Cup Wild Card spot in the West. Houston won Group A & at least for now a Wild Card team from Group A seems unlikely. Eyes on Group B after 27 point Phoenix win Tuesday vs the Lakers. Big game on Fri., OKC at LAL. Best for Mavs is a Lakers dub.
