My coworker wants to do the same, but she's hesitant to bc she's a dark-skinned Black woman who already has to deal with microaggressions in a majority-white company & is seen as "aggressive" when she's just being assertive. It's not right.

Apparently 5 people had great experiences with him. I suspect he has deep knowledge of a very narrow subset of rheumatology, and if you fall into that disease category, he's great. If you don't, he thinks you're the problem.

I found another potential doc, though! My tenacity is ruthless. I just need to not get my hopes up and expect the worst so I'll either be proved right or be pleasantly surprised 😅

I'm chronically ill with an energy-limiting inflammatory disease, but I'm also a 38yo suited professional who's on her feet most of the day and I like heels sometimes, dammit!

I'll see my long covid doc again in January & we'll... figure out next steps.

For the funeral, they took all of them out of storage. They were all still perfectly preserved in glass-topped caskets. At the end of the service, our staff caravanned all these caskets to the family gravesite & collectively buried them, per the family's wishes.
