Yup. My parents both worked late. After school, I made dinner for my 3 sisters, made sure everyone did their homework, and had the dishes handwashed and put away before they got home. We wear our independence like a crown. 🤘

These are the moments I look for. These kids show that empathy is alive and well. It just too often gets drowned out by the loud and obnoxious selfish people of the world.

Nothing is more attractive to me than an intelligent, strong, independent woman. Bonus points if she's of color for all the extra hurdles she's overcome to be successful. The fact that so many men and other women are intimidated by those characteristics is a big part of why we are in this mess.
