sweeteners don't increase the liquid's surface tension as much as real sugar does. This allows CO2 bubbles to form faster and bigger!

Plus, I'm showing you the paper tube trick - the fastest way to drop multiple Mentos into a bottle at once without fumbling and losing the fizz.

The interesting bit? Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite all have a pH of 2.5-3.5 (milk is 6.7). That's acidic enough to curdle milk on contact - the exact same thing your stomach acid does every time you drink milk, you just can't see it!
