Finally pulled this back out. Think I've about figured out how I want the obi to sit - I'm going to sew it all down rather than retie it each time, then start on the painting. I also finally found a few obijime I like so that's finally done~

Cosplay is silly. Also I'm almost done. Last few snaps, then I'm calling it good. I'll circle back to the new pauldron gem (something is wrong with my 3d printer 🥲) and new cape at a later date~

Jacket is close to done! I've added horsehair braid to the hem of the jacket for a little extra flair. Gotta do a HEAVY pressing, some handsewing, and the closure but she's coming along! Flatlay hopefully tomorrow~

Spent part of tonight digging through the stash to see if I have enough matte white satin for the trim. Verdict: MAYBE! I'll see tomorrow and possibly buy some Friday! But the jacket and lining are cut - lined in scuba to give it some body, I'm also probably gonna put horsehair along the hem?

These were cut long so I could figure out the real length with upper bit when I finalized the jacket sleeve length, but!!!! They even have zippers so I can more easily wriggle a hand out if needed (which I may or may not use but I am a professional lmao)

Shorts need a touch of handsewing but then they're done. They even have back pockets and lining (the pen marks the bottom of the pocket)

Okay doing running stitches down the seams helped a bit? But I still hate the shape. So I'm gonna try taking in the front and back drastically before giving up and rebuying 🥲

The shirt needs a lot of handsewing and pressing, as well as the upper collar and X ties (it has a side zip to actually get into it lol)
I'm not 100% happy with it? But I'm gonna give it a bit more work before I rebuy fabric. I love the color and texture of the shell, but it's so soft and loose💀

Okay THIS is a more accurate to the eye color representation. Though I suppose if I have to fight with it so much to photograph correctly on a phone, it may be not worth it to use 🤔 and while I could dye the lighter just a touch, that is literally my least favorite thing sooo
