It's like, no, motherfucker, I'm not not a monster because I am weak, or soft, or credulous. It's because I know I'd be really good at it, and I know I don't want to live in that world. It isn't happy for anyone, not even the biggest and baddest.
And I am far, far from alone in that calculus.
