It's infuriating. And I'm supposed to be proud of my country. Yet I continuously remain disappointed.

And why are we still meddling in the Middle East? Is it just for oil and power? Profits that everyday Americans never even benefit from? I'm sick of my tax dollars funding endless war, destabilization, and the deaths of innocent men, women, & children. Have these regions not suffered enough?

How can we call ourselves the good guys when we do shit like that? It's no wonder Iranians have such a deep-rooted resentment toward us.

We replaced it with a brutal authoritarian monarchy more favorable to our interests. I was never taught this in school. That’s pathetic (no fault to the teachers, mind you).
