I've yet to see Newsom fans give a good defense of his approach to these atrocities. They seem to avoid it much more than they do his moderating on trans rights.

The author is trying to defend himself by saying he just thinks the firing process should have been different, and she'd probably have been fired even with more stringent employee protections. But one of his posts about wanting to give compassion and forgiveness to her gives away his real motivation

You seem to be arguing for two very distinct things. The first about how she was fired, and the second about her being given compassion. I do not see how these two points correlate at all. Nor do I see what right you have to tell black people (or anyone) to give compassion to a virulent racist

The Charlie Kirk firings "just happened" at one point too. I find it very illuminating you had nothing to say, and no article in the Atlantic, at the time. And no, shoehorning it into a larger article about this situation does not count

I think they just want heavy gender segregation again. Though of course only for poor and middle class women. They need to stay at home and be around mostly women, besides their husbands who they dutifully obey. The rich conservative women will continue to work outside the home around men ofc

Could you imagine how Nuzzi would be treated if she weren't white? Her career is simply dead if she were a black woman. There'd be no book, no Vanity Fair trying to salvage her career. It would simply be accepted she was untrustworthy and amoral.

To me, the worst part is the, you know, mass murder and deprivation of due process. But I guess viewing that as the worst part requires seeing these men as fully human, so YMMV I guess.

Mulligan talks about it a lot. He's already very good at telling stories with his friends who are also good at telling stories. They don't need a game system that facilitates that. They need a system that translates combat and other things into a usable system, which DnD works for.
