Close to You (2023) uses handheld shots and intense, intimate dialog to immerse the viewer in the experience of returning to one's small hometown post-transition. SO authentic, it was oft uncomfortable for me to watch. Affirming, uplifting. I loved the in-depth exploration of relationships.

Moonlight (2016), an all time fav, has me ugly crying. Sad and sweet. Groundbreaking - an award winning queer movie with an all #Black cast. Hibbert, Sanders, and Rhodes beautifully portray Chiron's journey of pain, love and self-acceptance.
