Very good point! Many times we never see these games come to light and there's so many more games that get canned that we never even know about. Seeing something rise out of development hell is a success story all in itself!

I guarantee you that if Half Life 3 ever releases, and that's a BIG if, there's gonna be a huge number of people who are gonna hate it because it won't be worth the wait in their minds. They want perfection in return for their time and they will never get it. Just forget about it and enjoy the game.
