What hurts?
What is this hurt telling me I need?
And how can I allow myself to safely, compassionately sit with the hurt so I can begin to connect back to the parts of me, left behind long ago?

When you can’t stop ruminating, what happens when you shift to noticing the sensations beneath the thoughts?
Tight? Dull? Tingly?
Are you disappointed? Sad?
Afraid?
Feeling self-protective?

Let yourself sit with that feeling.
Gently allow it.
See if you can let it crest and fall without analysis.
