This is tricky to visualize, but my observations of optimizing for able-visioned mouse users often leads to highly-complex code that is time-consuming to build and maintain.

(top line, red) When optimizing for able-visioned mouse users, codebases become complex to build and maintain from day 1, and that complexity steadily increases over time, or as features get added. (lower line, blue) When applying inclusive design, application complexity starts very low, and that complexity tapers over time, or as features get added.
