Also - if you are a civil servant and haven’t already - DOWNLOAD ALL OF YOUR PERFORMANCE REVIEWS AND SEND THEM TO YOURSELF. Even high performers are just line items and you need to be able to prove as much.

Civil servants are exhausted. We work hard, and right now it feels insurmountable. It feels like another world that I would have ever wanted to get into this.

No exactly this. Did he make poor/horrible decisions? Yes. Did I ever question if he did it with bad intentions? No. I never questioned his allegiance doing what he THOUGHT was right for his country.
