Well it's been a lot easier than expected thanks to Circuitpython having excellent docs and lots of examples. New I have switched to Micropython so I can make use of the dual cores. One task to get the status data and one to take the data and make it look good on the display...

Many years ago I was on a PLC training course and we had to program traffic lights. Whilst others wrote the sequence as a list of instructions I used a binary counter instead... the instructors were so impressed they offered me a job. I didn't take it as it meant moving to Milton Keynes.

Yes 18C in car but we also have an aircon unit in our bedroom, legacy from when my wife worked nights (paediatric nurse), and that is also set to 18C and we switch it on about an hour before bedtime then off again when we go to bed. It's too noisy for me 😀
