Exercise physiologist. sport nutritionist. washed up athlete. risk averse gambler. People don’t think it be like it is, but it do.
I think my biggest issue with business bros and motivational gurus, is that they attribute everything to effort and hard work. As if a single parent with multiple jobs doesn’t work harder than a podcaster or ceo. Hard work is not a secret, it is a prerequisite. Opportunity and luck are the secret.

I go to Twitter and every finance person I follow has 30 bot replies to every post. I go to check if trump is tanking the market on truth social and I see ads about parasites making you sick. I try to get on Bluesky earlier and technical errors. Please just stop, let me doom scroll in peace.

Big earnings miss, he’s not actually leaving doge, and another promise of robotaxi next year same old story. And yet stonk go up, when does the Tesla ride end?

Obvious high risk play but continued push up today makes put entries on #$TSLA weeklies cheaper. Low relative short interest and more call buying than puts could set up another gap down if they can’t find a way to pump it and get people excited. If 214 breaks it’s going to 200.

Lower range PT on #$LUV hit. Anything further has more to do with macro environment imo
A little late but I took a short position in #$LUV around $35 that I closed today. Went longer dated on the puts and closed up 80%. Feel like there is room to the downside still but didn’t want to hold through “liberation day”. Still wildly overvalued compared to its direct competitors. PTR $24-$30

Anyone know of the nearest thing to a #Crypto ETF or token that invests in the largest stable coins and currencies? Not just talking Bitcoin or ethereum

I have a Truth social account to monitor his rantings that might affect the market. Something peculiar I’ve noticed is there are always lots of likes and “re-truths” but no one ever replies. Like one account will just spam 17 replies but no real people are responding. Seems incredibly bot heavy

Literally could’ve bought #$SPY puts as soon as he said the economy was still growing 10-20 seconds in and made 150%-400%

Multinational finance professor said the dollar is strong…

I was on threads for some unexplainable reason and the new argument isn’t that they committed insider trading, it’s “They didn’t actually make as much as you say”. And they’re cherry picking strike prices and timeframes. As if $350k profit is more ethical than $20 million because it’s smaller

Someone tell me why I shouldn’t load the boat on #$PYPL

The only real upside I see to all these “policy” decisions is that if you believe he’s evil/dumb enough to do it, the market has been easy. It’s like a large subset of investors just refuses to believe he’ll actually do what he says and create easy entries on days that pop.

Finishing up my MBA this year and taking a multinational financial management course. Discussion on tariffs and I literally have a classmate who is arguing that tariffs and higher cost of living is good. Just regurgitating talking points and prefacing every sentence with “I’m not taking sides, but”

It’s tempting to want to be contrarian, I’ve seen people use the old “greedy when others are fearful” quote. But I just got on Facebook and I gotta be honest all the Midwest people who voted Trump are not fearful yet. A full 50+ comments about dip buying from regular joes. We have not bottomed.

So if buying power is dropping, costs are increasing, and the fed is holding rates to fight inflation; there could be a real case for mean reversion and changes in asset valuation. I had a model show roughly an $8 price target for #$LUV that I threw away but actually seems possible now

I was in a rush after a meeting today and tried to buy #$SPY and #$TSLA puts just before close. Went so fast I just bought the first line of options (expiring today), realized, and had to hurry and close. Missed on thousands of dollars of gains in the morning for a consolation 1% in 30 seconds 🤦🏻‍♂️

The fitness world, trainers, and gyms focus too much on the “discipline, every day bro, sacrifice bro” thing. The problem is it distorts perceptions of how results happen. Going hard 24/7 365 isn’t it. Best client I’ve ever had did mid effort workouts for two years and still went on vacations.

Anyone else in a movie watching mood?

I’m Facebook friends with someone irl who has always had some very odd views. Like social distancing was a plot to keep the energy fields of our hearts away from each other. The other day he posted an achievement of his and said “Not bad for a kid with an 18 ACT score”… Aha moment

So the meta verse is being sold to businesses a way to get more engaged remote teams, right?

Curious who will take the lead on developing VR and AI to support remote work? It only has to cost less than the building lease

Wonder if we could develop a metric to track management diversity and DEI opinion. Since the top quartile of diverse management teams are 35% more likely to have returns above industry mean, shorting anti-DEI companies seems like free money.
