I narrate audiobooks and audiodramas. My best contract canceled my projects and stopped assigning work to nearly all their narrators because they decided to switch to AI. Losing that work put me in the negative for half a year.

It's terrible to lose income, but it could be worse without strikes.

Its not FEMA's fault, honestly. They WANT to do their job, but DOGE and the administration is actively getting between them and their funding. Trump's stated so many times how he wants to get rid of FEMA. Rendering them incapable of aid creates justification to junk the Agency.
