I took this amazing @Canon QX20 photo printer kit to Madrid, and the results were fabulous!

I made a little video about it: https://youtu.be/gQKvomUSuiE?si=vEE3jMh-nZrCHyZF

And just like that, tomorrow's new newsletter is scheduled! Back to edition #1.

Yesterday I killed my 5,000-subscriber newsletter.

Why?

Because my career has grown and evolved fundamentally since starting that newsletter.

And for the last year, I haven't been talking about the things that most of those people signed up for.

If you're a business owner, sell anything, or you're a marketer. This is essential reading.

Who's read it? Show yourselves!

One viral post.

One major campaign.

One breakthrough client.

That's not how building authority works.

Authority compounds through small, visible actions that create connections you can't predict.

Window seat, white wine, cheese, and Iberico ham.

My Leica Q2 sat on the table.

Two university students appeared outside in the rain.

Hand signals asking to photograph me through the glass.

Then one came in, not to sell me the photo, but for help.

In yesterday's newsletter, I helped 5,000+ readers lose fewer leads.

And it starts with experiencing your own customer journey.

As a customer.

Most businesses trust their systems to work.

How many actually test them?

Not every post needs to close a deal.

Some content is just connection.

Some is just clarity.

But if you're building a brand with commercial intent, most of your content should have a commercial spine.

True story and a valuable lesson👇

I photographed a family business a few months ago after they'd just finished laying my lawn.

50 years of history. Three generations.

They even grow their own grass. Incredible service.

One of the things I've noticed is that strategy decks are habitual liars.

Not intentionally.

But they show a version of reality that just doesn't exist.

- Clean customer journey maps.
- Perfect user flows.
- Seamless touchpoints.

We turn down more projects than we accept.

Not because we're being selective for ego.

Because bad-fit clients waste everyone's time.

Someone who isn't desperate for what we offer will negotiate forever, question every decision, and blame us when results don't match unrealistic expectations.
