Came back from groceries and my daughter surprised me with a table set with Stone Age. Unexpected #boardgame night! ❤️
A table set with the board game Stone Age, some game boards, cards, wooden tokens and cardboard chips

Unlimited time, unlimited friends, unlimited board games.

This is all I need right now. 🥺

But not too much lighter 😄

I only played solo but I think it is very close to what it feels in multiplayer.

That said, I found it a crunchy optimization puzzle, very tight economy. It may feel unforgiving to some extent but very rewarding when you get your head around it.

Someone defined it a ‘lighter Lacerda-style’ game…

It might be just a matter of instinct/muscle memory, whenever I get my hand of card, I automatically start arranging them, like in autopilot mode :D

Makes perfectly sense! I'd rather buy a second copy than sleeve this one :D

Perhaps I'll do the same thing!

Can’t wait to try this.

One of the reasons I love board games so much is that they are more than a past time. There are moments when #boardgames can be a much needed comfort, a safe place. This is what happened to us a couple of days ago.

Played my first game of Salton Sea against the bot. Won by 10 points. I love this crunchy optimization puzzle!

A lovely and relaxing game of Beacon Patrol too :)

Been to Romania for a weekend with some friends. I could get one souvenir. This is what I chose 😂😂😂 #boardgames
Romanian edition of Hive Pocket, a box containing some plastic hexagons depicting different bugs, that are used similarly to the Chess Pieces

Beautiful game and description 😂❤️❤️❤️

In my group we have played Blood Rage in 5 most of the times and we had a blast. The final battles in Yggdrasil tend to be a delightful mayhem every time 🤣

Great episode! Personally I enjoy the expansions consisting of smaller modules you can mix and match, like the various things you can add to Anachrony (I love the neutronide buildings and the variable anomalies for example) or the modules in the Let’s Waltz expansion to Grand Austria Hotel.

Played Grand Austria Hotel again with my kid. This time we added the Walt module (she didn’t like it too much) and the Famous Guests (she loved it as she found her heroes like Marie Curie and Albert Einstein). My daughter won again, this time 117 to 116. I don’t even… 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #boardgames

I also enjoyed the small dungeon crawler :)

Great anthology of game mechanics indeed! Our favorites are the boat race, the one where you need to find the 'intruder' and the one where you have to name objects (smaller, bigger, etc...), I don't know the English names of these games because we have the original Italian edition

Not too much. It’s quite straightforward
