Trans rights are human rights.
If it hasn't been pointed out already, that was one of his conditions for taking the role. It remains one of Michael Caine's favorite experiences

She's someone who can be, and whether by some miracle she becomes a Texas Senator or has a strong showing in a losing effort, this is only the next step.

...You want a fighter? You want someone who is going to speak for us while speaking her mind, rather than be an establishment's choice parroting all the talking points?

I thought this was a fact since before S1 dropped. You made a sport of showing Lou love when you were on that other site (which shall not be named).

To be fair, but also aware that there is a lot to be desired in working conditions, I don't read up on as much toxic masculinity BS as in other companies, AND I already mentioned what it has done for LGBTQ+ media (including animation).

Even some sympathetic news sites aren't perfect. It wasn't too long ago when Elliot Page graced the cover of Time in a triumph for the trans community. I'd say it was an even bigger moment than Caitlyn's cover was when she came out

Bluesky is weird about sharing links from off-site.

A merger with a legacy studio like Warner Bros was just the next big natural step in the changing times, as is AI, and renewable energy. I don’t have to like some things or where they may or may not be going, either, but I’m just not so set in my ways that I’m willing to be left behind

The furor over Netflix is as much fear of the inevitable which is streaming as the New Hollywood. Hate to break it to some of the dug-in purists but the inevitable is already here. They have made big, award winning films that get all the views

As I pointed out, had this transpired, filmmakers would protest and say they don’t agree, but would either do their jobs for the paycheck or move on to something else at the end of the day

…or the doom of filmmaking and an anti-trust nightmare blah blah blah. However, I just would prefer not seeing Warner Bros turn into another alpha male, bro cultured Silicon Valley expy who says “Eff your feelings, we’re making money producing MAN movies with Brett Ratner’s help!”

Take care and never stop being you <3

So far as I’m concerned, if one media conglomerate has my community’s interests in mind, even if it’s mostly for-profit, and have never turned their backs on us like others have, I will take that lesser evil

Lastly, why I personally wanted Netflix to come out on top, shouldn’t be taken as blind biased when it comes to them being a hub for LGBTQ+ content. Netflix isn’t perfect and has had their fair share of controversy (Dave Chappelle, for one)

If Paramount had ended up buying the studio, and started mandating a more MAGA friendly approach at the expense of diversity and representation of those who have come under frequent attacks by the administration, filmmaker with protest, and then do their jobs because at the end of the day…$$$
