Oof. I can relate to this. And I don't like it.

I saw this and thought how horrifying it would be for the loved ones to run across this. It's an understatement to say it's TOO SOON. Fucking content generation has mangled a sense of decency and respect.

That must be a social media thing - people rarely enjoy me when I'm depressed! I do think a lot of people experience depression - and grief is a universal thing that comes for us all eventually. Maybe it's being another voice just to say "you are not alone".

I'm relatively new to following you, so I am not sure how to be helpful. Is just saying it out loud helpful for you? I know platitudes can be annoying during times like this, but I also don't want to just hit the little heart and walk on by.

That's exactly what it is - the cost of proper documentation and getting an affidavit signed - things that are out of range for a lot of people.

Fantastic!

Ah, I see, a poll tax for women. What a steaming pile the GOP is trying to get us to eat. Glad they're dragging out all the mediocre white men to explain it to us little ladies.

For any GOP conduit, especially Emmer, to use the phrase "intellectually inconsistent". I don't know, Alanis might have something to say about that...

I'm really following through with the irritability I woke up with. Writing has been trash, but going out for a walk in the sunshine might help.

Many of these paranoid little goobers haven't shown up for their own constituents for years. Taking their unethical shitshow into the light is not going to help them.

I only listen to a handful of podcasts, but "Maintenance Phase" really helped to shift my perspective on a lot of things - especially the toxic culture I grew up with in the 80s around diet and health.

I did read that many years ago. Now, a lifetime as an American woman has turned me into a reactionary when it comes to health/weight literature - as in, I react with a high level of skepticism, even when the purported message is positive.

I would say this time has radicalized me from tepid progressive to serious progressive especially in regards to the carceral system, law enforcement (its uneven application), and capitalism. Once you start seeing things, you simply can't unsee them.

Yes! I think people try too hard to understand intent (it's a human inclination) when really what matters is the outcome. Regardless of her whys, her damage to other humans is material and violent.

As usual, the Germans have a word for Homan: backpfeifengesicht - a punchable face.
