If it were at least $50 cheaper i would consider it, but right now IMO the only thing this has that wins over the Japanese CE (which is alot cheaper) is that Dreamcast statue

How far in are you? I just got to September, I'm surprised how fast the social sim elements are compared to Persona, the days pass by so quickly I can't believe I'm near the end already
The main dungeons are HUGE though I guess thats where the most time is spent lol

I like drifting in this one much more than the more recent Mario Karts... they really nailed it

Yes you're right!!! I tried it on Tate Mode when I emulated it on a laptop lol (I could put the laptop sideways). Pretty much the optimal way to play these games

The early 2000s really was a great era for JRPGs... I get nostalgic looking at these coverages man...

IMO once you cross the mountain and get to the "other side" of the Island is when Ys VIII really opens up. I was so impressed with the exploration, storytelling, and the music ahhh it's such a great game.
