Point is, while those who opted out have some responsibility, they aren't even the majority of non-voters by a significant margin. We can do so much better than painting with such broad strokes.

Polling place accessibility is frequently a major issue, made worse in recent years/decades across the nation. Even adequate proximity still often requires transportation. Some are too young to be eligible. Others have paperwork issues. Hell, sometimes it's a citizenship issue.

Knowing you won't see/read this comment, I still have to say this form of reductive logic is exactly how we got here to begin with. The vast majority of non-voters aren't even eligible. Most states, something as simple as homelessness is disqualifying. Other factors apply as well. We can do better.
