I think my position would be I don’t think it would be right to sack him after 10 days.
But at the same time my current feeling is he’s destined to fail.

Ended with McGowan at lwb, Yang at rwb. Forrest somewhere in the middle. But so was Maeda & Hatate. No idea what was going on. It was utterly clueless.

Also worth noting, ominously, this is Gasperini’s 2nd shot at one of Italy’s historically bigger clubs. And he only lasted 5 games at Inter in 2011 before being sacked.
So I suppose the lesson remains the same - you have to win.

Worth noting though given that Nancy’s system isn’t too dissimilar that Gasperini hasn’t had it all his own way implementing his style at Roma. He’s lost 7 of his first 20 games. It takes time to get it right 🍀

Nancy is trying to implement his system one week into the job. Having decided to go with it in his 1st game he would have looked weak if he’d changed it for his second. But he was up against one of the best coaches in Europe with a tried & tested system of his own. He was on a hiding to nothing 🍀
