When I read this, I was thinking of teachers and how difficult it can be in our professional lives to put our foot down and say no, even when the request is unreasonable. Anyways, saying no is a skill that has to be learned.

The main thrust of the UCP's policy on education has been an attempt to regulate and control teachers' activities in the classroom, as if they are not trusted and competent professionals, with their own organization capable of addressing issues as required.

The institutions which are supposed to protect rights and serve the interests of the people are failing to do so. But it is the people who are decisive.

A month later, and warehouse workers at the Sobeys Retail Support Centre are *still* locked out! I won't be shopping at Safeway or any of the other places mentioned below. Time to spread the word.
