Have you tried the Pillars of Eternity series? I just finished the second one and I dare say it rivals New Vegas in terms of fun factions and interesting philosophical questions. Great fantasy pantheon too.

Social democratic politics abandoned its revolutionary roots around the First World War, but still believed in institutional power through the workers' movement. The latter was lost in the neoliberal shuffle, and only haltingly recaptured by 2010s democratic socialists.

Previous shootings only appealed to those looking for infamy and 'purifying' far-right violence. Except for Trump, the targets were arbitrary representatives of conspiratorial narratives. Striking anonymously at someone with actual power is an entirely different thing, and people recognize that.
