What people forget is that computers are not your friend. They are tools and tools only. And you’re not using this tool. You are not the owner. You bought the nail. They own the hammer. They will swing it where they want to and the fewer fingers you have, the less likely you’ll take it away.
Tired of people not saying what shit actually is. A “detention center for a group of specific people” is a concentration camp. A “facility for executions” is a death camp. A “militarized police force meant for rounding up certain minorities” is a racist secret police. Say the damn words.

The more of us rejecting this false narrative that AI should be jammed into every aspect of life, the closer we get to acknowledging all the tech companies have done in the last 20 years is turn us into products. We’re not NPCs as the tech bros think of us. We’re not variables in their algorithm.

If people could understand that AI as it currently exists is a scam, not because of the technology because the technology can be useful. But because of the people in charge of it. It would be like giving a failed casino owner turned reality tv personality nukes. Wait…

I’d say it’s disappointing how quickly people forget the lessons they’ve learned, but I don’t think that’s true. I think people ignore the lessons and never bother learning them to begin with. Learning requires changing yourself and acknowledging that you were wrong or just didn’t know something.

I’ll be legit disappointed if the bastard dies of natural causes before we kick him out. He deserves to be deposed. Feel free to fill in “the bastard” with any number of current despots and their lackeys.

AI chat bots can’t even read a fucking calendar right, but we’re integrating them into our military? Stellar.
