There’s been plenty of well-deserved criticism aimed at the Ennies for accepting submissions that use GenAI. Meanwhile, DMsGuild and DriveThruRPG also allow GenAI artwork in rulebooks and adventures, yet I haven’t seen any complaints directed at them. Have I missed something?

Recently explored the YouTubes for how to play D&D and every single video on the topic is a dissertation, explaining so much it becomes white noise to potential new players.
I’m so lost as to how this mentality arose. No one learns this way, especially a game.

I don’t know if it’s just me taking final form as old guy but there does seem to be a trend to make things as easy as possible at the expense of everything else.
