I know it's just observational bias, but we seem to be losing more good people than we can afford to right now.

One of the few bright spots on the internet these days is @monteiro.bsky.social 's Good News newsletter. You can read it for free yourself, and if you like it as much as I did, toss him a few bucks. It was the "My grandmother was justice" line that did it for me I think.

I had fun today taking the kid to a flat-fee retro arcade with a very nice selection of pinball machines. I love the look of pinball machines, you can tell the designers love their work.

an Avengers themed pinball machine, Thanos featured prominently in the artwork. A. John wick pinball machine, featuring a dark and club-like lighting scheme reminiscent of that famous club scene. A Willy Wonka themed pinball machine. One of my favorite machines that Elvira pinball machine featured retro movie clips and little videos with Elvira introducing them.

I knew UBER as a company was crap, but jesus. I'm going to try very hard never to use them again. I don't suppose LYFT is any better?
