I want to do to the deaged Ted Danson what the artists did to his eyebrows: make disappear completely

Nor bookmarking this because I think it'll happen, but bookmarking it because it'd be a hell of a thing to circle back to

Lot of our Lieutenant Governors end up being governors at a moments notice

It's going to depend from person to person. I think the starting point to think about it Marge vs. The Monorail, and from there say "Do I want to show them something more silly or less silly than this?"

"From Our Archive" is truly the cherry on top

The academy seems *inching* towards "make the show longer and celebrate the movies you're honoring" I can imagine that becoming a third writing category at a point.

Hell if nothing else having that category will encourage some productions to do it

I would have nominated it a bunch but I'm not "baffled" by it's absense.

It was a big year for international movies and got overshadowed by four others.

I have 3 to catch up on, which is the most since theaters reopened.

This is largely a good list, there's some surprises but that's the only one that baffles me

The only thing on this entire list that baffled me

I dunno, seeing David Cronberg's The Fly at Metrograph and it becoming clear by minute 15 that 75% of the packed house was NYU undergrads who hadn't seen it before.

That's a top 5 theatergoing experiences I've ever had

I think the problem is execution. Mamdani always brings it back to one of three talking points, but he makes it clear he listened to a problem, then he ties it to one of the affordability talking points.

Schumers just feel like he's dodging a problem to mention a buzzword he wants to hit

Dumb answer: Amity has some notoriety as a place with two famous shark incidents and one happens again to some disaster tourists

Smart answer: Jaws vs. Santa

See I find Lincoln Center in line or sometimes below rate of equivalent repertoire theaters.

They did an [somewhat insane] Shyamalan series and they made them double features. I saw Sixth Sense and The Haunting both in 35mm for 18 dollars. Same with Knock at the Cabin and 12 Angry Men

Yes but sir this slanders Lincoln Center and I dare say the corresponding AMC
