yes! that's what I'm talking about. they profit and we suffer from less efficient and cost effective commuting! And that's just one of the many things we could be doing better!

Appreciate that. I’m of the opinion that there’s lots of developments we could improve like better rail systems nationwide that would greatly improve our lives but instead we sort of treat those advances as unnecessary meanwhile our nation is getting leapfrogged in urban development.

I live in California and can’t speak to the needs of transportation between cities in that region. I chose the monorail only as example because the sentiment remains that our urban development is lacking compared to Japan!

I have and that’s great but they don’t currently have high speed rails interconnecting them to the neighboring cities, with trains going 180+ mph! Japan does and so could we

I’ve been trained to marvel at the urban innovations of Japan as something futuristic and possibly even unnecessary. But we in the States could have these things, too if our priorities were different.
