Always the best of times on House of Pid, talking about depression and Marvel movies (Thunderbolts*) and how Hollywood finally nailed representation of mental illness
As a dad of four, which has apparently unlocked the stage of my life where now I cry in movies, there was a scene near the end of Fantastic Four where it got me, and my daughter grabbed my arm because she was feeling it too, and that’s what these comic book movies need more of

The FDA panel on SSRIs in pregnancy was such a farce, it’s almost comical, if it wasn’t the reality of the day. The “balanced” panel was only made so by the strength of my new hero for the week, Dr Kay Roussos-Ross, the only non-antipsychiatry expert on the “panel”.
