I like cats.
I'm 42
I'm submissive but way to poor for financial submission
I am very close to flooding my feed with my own nudes and turning into the world's saddest pr0n site.
I also like weird video games and ttrpgs.
It's always so weird to me how some games will get season pass DLCs and people will love them but then other games will do the exact same thing and get hated. Like Age of Wonders 4 has a much beloved DLC eccosytem but people get big mad about Stellaris. They use the same DLC model for both games.

I do think my last big thing before play testing is to set up a webpage. This way I can easily store and sort information but I can also give the players an easily accessible resource.

I designed the game world to facilitate play and I designed the rules to facilitate play within the game world. My instinct to present a completed product stems from that. I don't want magic or cyberware to feel tacked on because they were designed later at the same time I can have faith in myself.

One thing I realized about my game is that I don't need to do everything right now. I don't need to do cyberware right now, I don't need to do a whole bestiary right now. I am one person. I have a functional core. We'll work with that and fill things out as they emerge.

I've still been working on my Ttrpg. I'm getting closer and closer to playtest time. I got a nice pile of weapon names and descriptions, I have armor. I need to mess with some numbers a bit but I'm mostly ready to go.

I haven't been posting much here because I've gone back to WARFRAME!!! Recently, I've been impressed by how little boring admin there is in that game.

Like you can't go one mission in Mechwarrior 5 without being handed a spreadsheet and repair bills.

One of the terrible ironies of my Bloodbowl collection is that I have almost two full Dwarf teams. It is a combination of the Dungeon Bowl box and a couple of Old World Alliances boxes I got on a deep discount. I hate playing and playing against the Dwarves. It is so miserable.

Now I'm getting ready to paint my Ogre team. I bought Dungeon Bowl forever ago which had part of an Ogre team on it. So I actually have all 6 Ogres and 16 snotlings which is neat! One of my older Ogres lost a hand at some point so I've also been able to do some much needed repairs.

I've been pretty depressed these past few days. The holidays are kinda hard for me. I did get a bunch of painting done though which is nice. I painted my Khorne Bloodbowl team. I got them painted up to about the height of my skill level and I'm pretty happy with them.

#ttrpg Finally sat down and started figuring out what I want to do with magic, how people will be animating skeletons, and overall how spells will work.

Magic was huge stumbling block for me and I'm glad I am mostly over it.

Sometimes when you got a lot of creative momentum it is important to remember that you can't pour from an empty cup. That it is essential that you retreat to the library and read for a bit. I don't have to reinvent every wheel.

I'm not particularly good at coming up with rules. I have 6 classes and each will have 6 different starting abilities. They get to keep one of them. Basic stuff. For the life of me I was having the hardest time coming up with those 6 abilities until I cracked a book and read for an hour.

GM Tip: Let locations evolve. A city under siege, a ruined keep rebuilt, a forest overtaken by strange growth. Change shows that time matters.

On the #Mtg front I think I wanna build Zurgo Stormrender. I have a ton of stuff, that will work with the deck and I everything I don't have is relatively cheap. My favorite things to do in commander is aristocrats nonsense, and making tokens of THINGS! It is kinda perfect and I'm weirdly excited.

Due to holiday stuff I suddenly find myself with 4 days off of work in a row. I want to learn to play Victoria 3. I bought when it first came out and I've picked at it off and on but I'd really like to learn it so that I am doing more playing and less blindly stumbling around.

I'm going to be wrapping up my #mythicbastionland campaign soon. It was fun but there are things I'd change before running it again.

I want to start playtesting my game but I don't know if it will be ready in time so I might run #VtM. I did write a 50k word city for the game I should use it.

On the #ttrpg front I have my rules typed up. They fit neatly in 4-5 pages. However, I feel like they do a poor job of conveying the possibilities of the ruleset. I'm going to want to write a ton of examples. The way the skills work feels different from other games and I wanna capture that.

#mtg I think I am going to go back to playing Magic. It's been almost three months now and I'll be honest I didn't miss it. But we've gotten new people at work who want to play, my friends who want to play, and a whole gaggle of people who want to learn. Since I'm the teaching guy it's time.

Back on the #ttrpg front I've been typing the rules and I hate it. They are so boring and it doesn't make me want to play it. I'm thinking of trying again. To write the rules in character from the perspective of a megacorp recruiting office. There aren't alot of rules but they should be fun.

Teaching Oath went really well. One person absolutely loved it, one person wanted more, and the third person didn't like it very much. That's fine. Oath isn't for everyone. It is difficult to play and difficult to fully grasp. For example they didn't go for visions at all.
November 28, 2025 at 2:32 AM
I teach a lot of complex board games and I think Oath is up there with some of the hardest games to teach mostly because it is hard to get across the range of options you have and how to go about winning the game. Whereas an 18xx game is explaining an economy which just fits together.
November 26, 2025 at 7:24 AM
Spent two hours practicing teaching Oath. I love Oath but it is a pain in the ass to teach. Having a plan, a prepared speech, and some notes go a long way.
November 26, 2025 at 7:17 AM
I'm going to be teaching people Oath tomorrow! I am pumped because I love that game.

Although, I do wish, as a community we gave Leder Games more push back on their rule books because they fucking suck.
Oath isn't nearly as complicated as that rulebook makes it seem.

I want to spend time reading this later.
One of the TTRPG conflict design principles that's fascinated me for decades has been peoples' attempts at simulating "reaction-response speeds" and how different writers tackled it. Full disclosure: most of these attempts ended up leaving me cold for one reason or another. A short thread.
