I went to cover the chilli fundraiser that students at @gpvanier.bsky.social was putting on tonight. And look what they did to me they put me to work. They were raising funds for the French immersion students trip to New Brunswick.

CCRCE: Due to road conditions, all Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education buses are running on paved roads only for January 28, 2026. This means students will be picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon at the bus stop on the paved road nearest their house.

Enjoying a Breton Brewery Co beer on my storm stayed last night in Sydney after the U18 women’s worlds. I’m pretty much all packed just load in the car in the am and head for the mainland.

It might not be the colour we wanted but we’re proud of our girls! That US goalie was solid and we had our chances but puck luck.

No better way to cap off day one at the 2026 IIHF under 18 women’s world hockey championship then by raising the Canadian flag.

As games operations I help the flag bearers pregame, give out prizes at various points, and will get to hang the winning teams flag on the riser as it rises at end of game. Fun time so far.
