Good golly, I love used bookstores. Nestled innocently on the shelf were five first perfect condition, first edition Arkham House books at "didn't know what they had prices."

One of my favorite niche literary horror themes is that of the cursed, lost, or forbidden film. Movies with the same plot lose their impact by necessity when what should inspire inexplicable terror is revealed*. Language is so much more effective at describing vast and unfathomable terror.
