That's unfortunately part of the strategy non violent resistance. The demonstrator risks their health well being freedom and too often their lives to expose their enemies for what they are. Every assault, every detention and every killing hurts and undermines both this admin and ICE.

Todays GOP is one part Orwellian nightmare one part modern day answer to Brezhnevs CPSU. Loyalty to the party, no matter what, is the primary drive. To act publicly confused and to struggle in the face of the obvious, is for the modern Republican a radical profile in courage.

No there are a handful of people who get elected and prove to be assholes. Like John Fetterman who beat out the more reliably liberal and eminently more qualified Conor Lamb. Fetterman supposedly had common man appeal, at least to people who have never spent time among working class types.

Honestly mostly what they are doing is preventing a very small number of anarco goofers and LARPers from playing into ICE' hands. Minnesota is winning this thing going away right now. Trump's coalition is buckling right now and we are what a month into this mess? Stay the course, Minnesota strong.

Local PD does not have the manpower to confront ICE. There are plenty of cops who dislike ICE, more and more are starting to hate that agency. 3000 field agents and maybe 1500 local PD, county sheriff's deputies and state patrol. A lot of that number are admin, jail personnel, and desk types.
