The Sadie & Harry Davis Foundation announced a grant that will support the The Maine Monitor for the next two years. The Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting, publisher of The Monitor, will receive $400K to sustain its in-depth and investigative public interest journalism for #Maine.

Maine has long been one of the most food insecure states in New England. Directors of food pantries tell @themainemonitor.org, making sure people are fed is getting harder bc of increasing demand and an overwhelming reliance on volunteers, many of whom are retirees.
