Who doesn’t appreciate Steven Hale’s reporting?

IWI US is not the first gun company to see Tennessee as a more attractive home for the weapons industry. What makes it different is its direct ties to a military that a number of experts and a United Nations commission say is carrying out a genocide in Gaza. nashvillebanner.com/2025/10/09/i...
Tennessee Welcomes Israel Weapon Industries Headquarters - Nashville Banner
Israel Weapon Industries relocates its headquarters to Tennessee, investing $16 million and creating 72 jobs. The move is linked to the state's pro-gun stance.

Thanks. The only heads-up I saw was from an NDOT Instagram story a couple hours before. Also, they should’ve left fourth open for transit.

Federal programs going away? Sounds like a good time to relieve costs on Nashvillians and provide free transportation using dollars we have locally!! At least just mail out Journey Passes to everybody making under 300% above the poverty line.

Can they please pull street closure permits next time? Ain’t nothing about the street closure anywhere. Thanks

The Business Journal’s insta is hilarious. Like let’s try and clickbait you with a property assessors photo of a closing coffee shop that’s already been so widely posted about. Idk maybe somebody found out through this, but doubtful. Imagine paying for the Business Journal to try and find outs

Major? I wish. It’s less than half a mile. It’s because there’s an existing bikeway and the road is being repaved. This would add some flex posts and small rubber black curbs near conflict points. It also narrows the car lanes a tiny bit, which is nice.

i was expecting them to beat me, but i didn't expect they would also catch up with the bus 15 minutes ahead of me and pass it too!

how long will we have to wait to see the short term quick build improvements from Connect Downtown and CHYM actually implemented?

I’m just a guy with a laptop job in East Nashville, but there are hundreds of Nashvillians who serve at, perform at, and clean our hotels and honky-tonks who are getting home almost an hour late because of our refusal to implement Connect Downtown.

There’s a Greyhound that leaves at 8:15, so we can get dinner and come back. Groome is also an option. Just too expensive. If it was a couple people, splitting an Uber would be cheaper.

You’re literally making this up lmao. I just looked at his campaign disclosures.

Just so we’re clear on what’s happening.

The beauty of local politics is that it is nonpartisan-we can debate issues on merits & not like we’re opposing SEC teams. Sadly, not everyone feels that way these days.

The guy who developed this is on the MTA board because he knows transit oriented development or something

That’d probably take me a lot longer. Could also hop a train
