A two-seat ward where the other seat was won by a tory in 2023 and by a tory and an independent in 2019.
In a by-election always likely to go tory / former-tory, especially as there were no local independents this time out. Lib Dem got very close though.

Its currently 5. Started with 5 but Rupert Lowe fell out with Farage, and the guy that beat up his girlfriend is under investigation for fraud so had to be suspended from the party. They narrowly won a by-election, when Labour didn't contest it and had a defecation to make the numbers back up.

Who are this "responsible statecraft" group, and who funds them?
Clearly, they have no idea who caused the war in Ukraine (Putin/Russia 100%) or what the responsible and peace generating solution is (Russia completely out of Ukraine inc. Crimea, Ukraine joins NATO...)

Answer to the first question.
MAGA has always regarded Zelensky as the villan because they only "believe" pro-Russian propaganda. Why? Most are paid-for by Russia. Trump is no different. His perspective on the war is whatever Russia says it is. And Ukraine complete surrender is what Russia requires

Other than North Korean involvement in the war causing the South Korean government to take action against both firms if they return to Russia.. and the complete loss of the European market in exchange for a St Petersburg show room - what possible reasons would stop this?

Lets face it - Trump wouldnt intervene if North Korea attacked South Korea, or if China attacked Taiwan - both events that Europe would provide support for - assuming they have surplus from supportng Ukraine. Again, the free-world would expect the US to lead... and Trump wouldn't.

In February 2022, the US offered Zelensky a ride, rather than an army. We (collective European - not just EU) knew what that meant for us, but pretended that America would lead NATO and save the world. Meanwhile Biden shrugged and forgot his name. Now we have Putin's orange glove puppet in charge...

Similar in the UK with Boris Johnson and the Conservatives after 2019.
There is a rule of law, which the Government is restrained by, enforced by the courts.
Yes, the ruling party can change laws, but that requires time, effort and exposing the true reasons for changing those laws to the voters

We "support the idea".
But do we actually do anything?

If you can't replace the oil they get from Russia by increasing production somewhere else, the oil price will go sky high. Supply and demand. And inflation is not poltically acceptable in most Western countries.

Why Labour? Why??

Problem is, if anything positive does happen, we won't hear about it through the press or the BBC, who will still be reporting the latest Xcretion from Musk, or having an in depth love in with Fartage's latest sneer.
