It’s a shame Disney Channel was so quick to abandon their Vault Disney late night block. It really felt like their version of Nick@Nite. Even Disney Plus doesn’t show enough respect for that era of Disney.

Would you say that the whole idea of splitting Disney Channel as the “girls channel” and Disney XD as the “boys channel” is related to the Family Channel/Freeform essentially taking over Disney Channel’s original family oriented demographic? Freeform plays more Disney movies than Disney Channel!

In a just world, not only would they not be allowed to detain citizens, but they wouldn’t count towards the quota and there would be a penalty for every wrongful detainment.

I will say Kristi Noem KINDA looks like Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen from the live action Snow White, if she looked more plasticy. Evil Queen is a fitting moniker for her, too.

And now would you argue that ICE is committing genocide against all non-white people, or at the very least are dangerously close to doing so? So not only is the genocide continuing in Gaza, we may have genocide within our own country.

And let’s not forget that DHS, ICE and the Patriot Act were all created under his Administration. He and other past Republican presidents paved the way for what we are seeing now.

The plot twist is that the organization originally created as part of War on Terror have since BECOME the Terrorists. Hell, just 10 years ago, it was ISIS that we had to worry about instead of ICE, and both happen to have very similar sounding names…

I guess one thing you could argue was NOT appointing Merrick Garland as AG, since he took too long to investigate Trump, to the point he already got re-elected before anything meaningful could be done. But could you argue the GOP still would have stonewalled enough to not make a difference?

And if ICE HAD done any of this shit with Kamala as President, I’m sure her Administration would be quick to remedy it instead of using propaganda to defend ICE’s actions and smear their victims.

I also doubt that ICE under Democratic leadership would be assaulting, detaining, deporting and now even murdering citizens to the level they have been. There had been a handful of cases of citizens being wrongly deported before, but this type of shit is becoming less rare by the day.

We did this “forgive and forget” nonsense with the Confederates after the Civil War, the Nazis under the guise of Operation Paperclip, and MAGA after January 6. Now they control our Government. It’s the real-world equivalent of HYDRA taking over SHIELD.

I would say the only real checks and balances we even have at this point are the lower courts ruling against him, but even then the wins are either few, or they are swiftly overturned by a Trump loyal appeals court or SCOTUS. And SCOTUS’ shadow docket rulings don’t even require a legal explanation.

Exactly. Getting away after 2 impeachments and SCOTUS telling him he had immunity for “official acts” has given him carte blanche to test just how far he can go with defying the law to get whatever he pleases. If we ever get out of this mess, I truly hope more guardrails are installed.

It’s astonishing that he has done more damage in just the first year of his second term than the entirety of his first term. It’s almost as if that’s what happens when our Government willingly awards an insurrectionist the opportunity to become president again with zero accountability.

The GOP really tried to persecute anybody saying anything about Kirk. And yet when a bunch of Republicans were caught saying racist and anti-Semitic comments, the GOP just shrugged it off as “boys will be boys”. Mind you, they also tried to go after pro-Palestine protesters for “being anti-Semitic”

I remember hearing years ago that Disney had been developing a potential stage version, but heard a rumor it was put on hold in favor of a Princess Bride stage musical instead. Oh well, maybe someday!
