This is bad imo due to forced telemetry everything you install on your PC gets sent to Microsoft as well as peripheral devices down to their serial number. Microsoft then more likely than not gives that information to third parties in some way.

That’s what it is, Microsoft makes some of their money via licensing agreements between PC manufacturers and themselves.

I’d recommend bottles for running windows programs, sometimes it takes some tinkering to get it working but I think it’s worth learning

Linux mint, it’s very plug and play and the default layout is similar to windows, you can also try it out on the usb stick you’re installing with before fully installing it to see if you like it
