old man . nowhere is there a law saying one can’t become something else after the start gun blows so I became a stone core vapor a seizure in the muscle of a heart missed by every spear & dart hurled by savages now, roaming as a cloud high above the traffic of daily mutters sliding only towards entropy toward blazing blue stars, swirling cosmic dust ultimately into a black hole which my fall will last all the lifetimes I can love per second per second.

I love watching the clouds from work they shift and phase like mist & smoke playfully, like children beneath the stern gaze of the laboring sun whose only job is to burn but really, I’m the one playing with the clouds in my mind assigning them the joy and innocence I would like to pass the day with but which work’s only job is to burn.
