Read this funny anecdote aloud to my husband (since it's like the only thing I have read today that I can repeat in front on my second grader)...and now my daughter is pissed there is no photo of said stick. 😆

Iowa is trying to do this, as well.

Iowa was not always like this. For most of its history, it was a leader in education, human rights, and civil liberties. It's almost unrecognizable these days.

I am obsessed with SweeTango (and name dropped U of M in my reply saying so) but now I must seek out this First Kiss cultivar you mentioned. New varieties of produce are peak excitement for me. 😆

For me, it is all about the crunch and a balanced sweet/tart flavor.

My favorite is SweeTango - developed by the U of MN, a cross of Honeycrisp and Zestar.

A new contender vying for top billing is EverCrisp, a hybrid of Honeycrisp and Fuji.

I am an applevangelist when it comes to these!

I should also note that 1.6M of Iowa's 3.2M population live in these 5 counties.

A lot of constituents on Medicaid don't realize they are on Medicaid because their state calls it something else. How can we publicize that all these programs ARE Medicaid and if you are on these programs, your health coverage is at risk?

Same is true for Iowa City. Johnson Co's actively registered voters are 75% Democrat.
