ICE wandering into Soul Cycle again only to be confronted by a dozen furious (and very fit) wine moms.

One of my Iowa friends NEVER posts about politics. This was what she posted last night with a collage of anti-Trump signs. There is hope.

He also wasn’t very rich.

Yes. We’ve seen issues in our cross platform family with iPhones that have RCS turned off not receiving RCS messages from both Android and other iPhones.

From his gun’s kickback? It’s hard to fire a gun properly while using your other hand to take video with a phone.

A bruise is technically internal bleeding, no? He might have gotten a bruise on his hand from the gun’s kickback.

Apple would say you need to blame Sony for not making the headphone jack on the Walkman water resistant. Sony would probably blame Bell Telephone for the original 1870s-ish design.

But you’re not wrong…

I hope it’s not tuned to backfire.

Surely “Both Sides” Bari Weiss would spike that story until the reporters get the dead lady’s side of the story. Without it, they can’t possibly report the whole story.

The Daily Mail initially reported it as a “judge in Netanyahu’s case”. They’ve since removed references from their story but left in the Netanyahu tag. Man, media sucks these days.

Oh, it’s an Azeri publication but the report is datelate Tehran.

A lot of posts seem to be referencing an Iranian news outlet. When your story about Israel has a dateline of Tehran…

I LOVED the finale of The Americans.

Such beautifully deep characters faced with monumentally difficult decisions, and I had no idea which way things would go.

It’s no easy task to keep everybody (1) moving and (2) safe.
January 7, 2026 at 1:53 AM
Yep. The bridge has 8 car lanes, 2 subway tracks and is the busiest bike/pedestrian route between Brooklyn and Manhattan (excluding all the tourists who walk the Brooklyn Bridge). And folks use the crosswalk at pretty much every red light (a car killed a 12yo there in 2012).
January 7, 2026 at 1:43 AM
At the height of the fixed gear fad 15-20 years ago it wasn’t uncommon to have folks bomb down the bridge screaming “Fixie! No brakes!” The wall put an end to that.
January 7, 2026 at 1:23 AM
This makes some sense. The barriers are easy to see when coming off the bridge and force cyclists to slow. The dip was invisible and unnecessarily dangerous.

Before the barriers, cyclists often came down the bridge at full speed through the big pedestrian crosswalk.

Is the senator’s xitter handle actually “BasedMikeLee”?

According to this article (www.nydailynews.com/2026/01/01/m...) he wants to work out a horse carriage ban that better respects the union that advocates for the carriage drivers.

Totally agree that IHRD isn’t really a Jewish thing (we do Yom Hashoah), but it’s been creeping into American Jewish consciousness via promotion by Jews who obsess over victimhood/“Holocaustism” and politicians seeking their votes. See, eg, www.governor.ny.gov/news/governo...
Governor Hochul Announces New York State Landmarks to Be Lit in Recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day
New York State landmarks will be lit yellow this evening in honor of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust.

But folks are misinterpreting what happened (willfully or not). Here’s a text from a friend (a politically savvy left-leaning friend but who has a lot of other friends in the more right-leaning anti-antisemitism crowd):
January 2, 2026 at 2:34 PM
Some folks are hearing the “IHR” part of the “IHRA definition” and saying that he rescinded NY’s observance of Intl Holocaust Remembrance Day as one of his first acts.

There is so much bad faith (and ignorance being manipulated by bad faith) in the anti-antisemitism crowd.

Did you not take an oath when you were admitted to the bar? Or just said “affirm” instead of “swear”? Can’t remember what I said.

We went to a professional bull riding event last summer out of curiosity and they ran a big ad for CBP and the “U.S. Border Patrol Safety Team” are the guys who try to keep the riders from getting stomped by the bulls. nashvillebanner.com/2025/08/18/b...
