“Of worth” sounds like a way to differentiate our infinite worth as children of God from “worthy”, a status in the church of living sufficiently righteous.

Mental health experts tell individuals they are always worthy of love and acceptance. That strikes against the church’s concept worthiness.

Agreed. They seem to be trying to measure how many members equate ‘virtue’ with ‘virginity’, probably to decide if it’s an issue worth trying to address and correct.

You’ve seen more Mormon movies than me. 👀😂

How about The Shining? Psycho? Nosferatu? Signs? The Village?

I much prefer Alien to Aliens, but I’ve never been able to really fall in love with the Alien franchise.

A24 has a reputation for distributing elevated or high-brow horror which is one reason Heretic being A24 was a big deal. The two I mentioned are both from Robert Eggers, one of the best directors working, I think. ‘Men’ is another deep one. ‘The Green Knight’ is also great (not Horror).

I would love to hear you and Ian cover movies like ‘The Witch’ & ‘The Lighthouse’.

The Witch is a very well done religious horror that has the best scene depicting possible scrupulosity that I’ve ever seen on film.

The Lighthouse is very good & is analogous to dynamics of mission companions.

Now I’m curious what other horror movies are on your favorites list aside from Silence of the Lambs. 👀🙂

I'll have to check that one out. I love Kenneth Branagh's Thor movie.

I watched A24's 'The Tragedy of Macbeth' this week. I'm a sucker for the art house visuals, but I enjoyed the story too! I was surprised that a few phrases common to me were from this play!

Random question. 🙋🏼‍♂️ I didn’t get exposed to Shakespeare in my public education. Where do you recommend I begin if I wanted to get into Shakespeare? (I did read Hamlet because of its connection to Robert Eggers’ The Northman).

Wow, man. I have a hard time parting with mine. I feel like there is no legitimate alternative to access insiders, celebs, politicians, news, studios, etc.
