It is utterly crushing to see your loved one not get the care they deserve. Or at minimum, it becomes a full time job for the caregiver coordinating services and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

It’s just so infuriating. I’m not even in the U.S., and it’s hard here (Canada) to find good dementia care that is available and more or less affordable (depending on where you live) for more than a short period of time. But $31K/month is insanity.
