At what point does writer's block stop being a temporary setback and becomes the way it is?

I miss writing. My motto says I like philosophy & write about stuff. Well, I've been doing a lot of thinking lately but not much(actually any) writing. I miss it. I hope someday I can get back in that headspace to write again.

While I'm on the subject of books that blew my noggin -- Plato's Republic. Pretty sure a small nuclear reactor melted down when I first read about Noble Lies. To this day I can (pretty much) spot a sophist in 3 sentences. Thanks, Socrates.

If anyone asks me what book "woke" me it's this. Long story short: people who think they're naturally superior will inevitably conclude gov't should be run according to their bad political philosophy. In this case the bad political philosophy of Leo Strauss.

Had a deep conversation with myself about fallacious arguments. Not talking about any administration in particular but my God -- it's like I'm not even trying to spot this shit.

So... it took about 3 & a half years to write and ratify the US Constitution and only 90 days to wreck it to 💩...? That's kind of impressive.
Maybe not to James Madison, but impressive... to someone.

I keep telling myself "just write something. Just do what you usually do. Do the pop culture and philosophy stuff" I can't. Can't keep acting like everything is normal.

I was feelin like doing some philosophy stuff, but... I just can't. My thoughts, as of late, are reduced to a series of groans, moans, and exasperated sighs.
(sighing) maybe I'll try again next week.

I don't know how popular it is these days, but I thank man's (and by man, I mean humanity) capacity for rational thought for The Enlightenment.
...although, it seems behind every absolute shit political ideology, there's a philosopher in there, somewhere...

I hate those conversations when I'm trying to make a point & someone has to argue with some random detail I said that derails the conversation and I never get to make my brilliant (if I may say so) point.

I really hate that.

So... my birthday is coming up this month. Would like an experience machine, please.
Thanks.

I'm gonna challenge Descartes on this: If I stop thinking can I stop existing in this dumbass timeline?

Kinda feeling like Chris Hargensen waiting for the right moment to pull the rope and like Carrie White after the rope was pulled.
Yep. Today is one of them days.

Ugh. I've been seeing things too negative lately. That said, if Nietzsche's demon asked me if I would live this all over again I couldn't say fuck no fast enough.

Now I think I know how it was like living in the Roman Empire -- but at the end with the bad emperors and everybody had lead poisoning...

Watched some Monty Python's Flying Circus today. Yeah... this is gonna be like Star Trek for me. Definitely prefer movies over series.
